Directions for use
Prepare the Patient:
Ensure the patient is seated comfortably in the dental chair, with the targeted tooth accessible
Administer local anesthesia to the extraction site to ensure the patient is comfortable throughout the procedure
Select the Correct Forceps:
Choose the appropriate forceps based on the tooth being extracted, ensuring it is designed for upper molars in pediatric patients
Position the Forceps:
Position the beaks of the forceps around the crown of the tooth, close to the gum line
Ensure a firm but gentle grip to avoid slippage and prevent discomfort for the patient
Apply Controlled Pressure:
Use steady, controlled pressure to rock the tooth back and forth in both mesiodistal and buccolingual directions
This action helps loosen the tooth from the surrounding tissues and the socket
Use Rotational Movements if Needed:
If the tooth is resistant, rotate the forceps gently in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction to further loosen the tooth
Extract the Tooth:
Once the tooth is sufficiently loosened, apply slightly more force to remove it from the socket
Take care not to apply excessive force, which could cause damage to the surrounding tissues
Inspect and Clean the Extraction Site:
After the tooth has been extracted, inspect the socket to ensure that no residual tooth fragments or roots remain
Clean the extraction site thoroughly and provide appropriate post-operative care instructions to the patient
Sterilize After Use:
After the procedure, clean and sterilize the forceps using an autoclave to ensure hygiene for future use
