With an active ingredient of n-butyl 2-cyanoacrylate (Enbucrilate), Truseal bonds skin edges within a minute, forming a protective barrier over the wound. Its antimicrobial properties provide in-vitro inhibition of gram-positive bacteria such as MRSA and MRSE, as well as gram-negative bacteria like E. coli, reducing the risk of infection. Truseal is convenient to apply, featuring a crushable glass ampoule and a soft micro-needle delivery system for precise application. The adhesive minimizes pain and irritation, ensuring patient comfort during and after application. Directions for use
Preparation:
Ensure the wound area is clean and dry. Remove any debris or foreign material from the wound site.
Suture Deep Tissues:
Use deep dermal sutures (absorbable sutures recommended) to relieve tension on the skin edges. This may involve subcutaneous or deep dermal closure.
Application:
Open the Ampoule: Crush the glass ampoule gently to release the adhesive.
Position the Needle: Insert the micro-needle tip at the wound edges, ensuring it is properly aligned for application.
Dispense the Adhesive: Squeeze the ampoule gently to dispense a thin layer of adhesive along the wound edges.
Seal the Wound:
Press Edges Together: Align the skin edges and gently press them together for optimal bonding.
Hold in Place: Maintain pressure for about 30 seconds to allow the adhesive to bond effectively.
Post-Application Care:
Avoid disturbing the wound for at least 24 hours.
Do not submerge the wound in water for the first 24-48 hours.

Removal:
The adhesive will naturally slough off as the wound heals. If necessary, consult a healthcare professional for removal.
